Barcelona has been crowned European Champion amidst fanfare
by defeating Juventus 3-1 at the Alianz Arena in Munich. The Spanish Giant aiming treble as well as the
Old Ladies, but the Spaniards seemed to be hungrier than the Italians, taking the
game straight to Juventus in a game of clearly two halves, Barca ruled the
first stanza grabbing a headline goal via inspirational Rakitic. The game
sparkled as early as the fourth minutes, when glamorous touches fell on the
boot of Rakitic before slotting home the first goal. Barcelona would go ahead
to dominate the game before the break. After the break, the Old Ladies came out
firing all cylinders, with the trio of Pogba, Tevez and Morata proved to the
very dangerous on the break. Dangerous moves and attempts by the Old Ladies
paid off when Morata grabbed the equalizer, this was indeed a turning point of
the duel. Lionel Messi having been man-marked fall back to the midfield, with
Inspirational Iniesta distributing killer passes, it didn’t take long before
Luiz Suarez restored Barcelona’s lead, then it comes down to who want it he
more, with Neymar’s “Hand of God” goal disallowed, and Iniesta replaced, the
game was looking to head to extra time as Juventus pushed harder for the
equalizing goal, but it won’t turn out to be as foreseen as Neymar grabbed the
third at the blast of the whistle. The entertaining game ended 3-1
