May 1954) is a British-Nigerian singer, actress and artist who rose to prominence after winning New Faces in 1978, and was among the leading black British entertainers in the 1970s and 1980s
For many years she graced the television screen as the lux girl. Patti was the first Nigerian ever to
win the Lux beauty pageant. At the tender age of 16 she left the country for the shores of the United Kingdom and ever since then her life has been a life of beauty and glamour.
She has written songs acted in lots of award winning dramas. After a chance meeting with the vivacious Evelyn (Boo) Laye, following 'The Black Mikado' Patti changed her name from Patricia
Ngosi Ebigwei to Patti boulaye. She has been a successful actress and has starred in many British. Following extensive world cabaret appearances, in 1981 Patti was voted 'Female vocalist of the Year on BBCTV.
She has written songs and has a record of four albums. In May 1998 Patti was invited to sing for HRH Crown Prince Hassan's 50th Birthday Celebrations in Jordan. She was also personally
asked by President Olusegun Obasanjo to sing at his inauguration ceremony on 29th may 1999 Recently she has taken an interest in art.Patti is established as a successful Jewellery designer
with a regular spot on QVC Television. She is also into several other non-profit, humanist activities like the anti-AIDS campaign.
