GHANA SURVIVE LATE ARGENTINA SCARE
Argentina 2-3 Ghana
The black satellite of Ghana bounced back from the poor start defeating 6times champion Argentina 3-2 at the 35187 capacity Wellington Regional Stadium. The game which started with early exchanges saw Ghana the better team. Tetteh shot Ghana into the lead late in the first half, before Aboagye made it two on the 59th minute. Yaw Yeboah grabbed his second goal of the tournament and Ghanian’s third on the night via a spotkick in the 69th minute. At 3-0 down, the wounded Argentines came back fiercely, and grabbed their first goal in the 80th minute through Simeone. Pressure against the Ghanians paid off in the 90th minute  after Buendia grabbed the second goal for Argentina, however the goal couldn’t save the Argentines from losing as the stay dangerously in the third position.

AUSTRIA PROGRESSES STEADILY
 Austria 2-1 Panama
Austria is drawing closer to the next round even at the expense of the Argentines. The Austrians defeated Panama 2-1 earlier today to stay second place behind group leader Ghana. An Argentina lost to Ghana means that all Austria need is to grab a draw against Argentina in their final group game.

USA FIRST TO BOOK FLIGHT TO SECOND ROUND
New Zealand 0-4 USA
The United State has been confirmed as the first team to progress to the knock-out phase. The American defeated host New Zealand 4-0 to make it two out of two. The game which came alive early in the duel saw Rubin grabbing the first goal for the Americans in the 6th minute, Hyndman will then grab his second goal of the tournament in the 33rd minute. Ariola made it three just 13minutes after the break, before Rubin completed his brace and US 4th  in the 83rd minute.

UKRAINE DECIMATE MYANMAR
 Myanmar 0-6 Ukraine
Ukraine sent six unreplied goals against minnows Myanmar to stand in the second place position in Group A and behind leaders USA. The game which was denied the sparkling in the first half came alive in the second half when Ukraine fired six goals pass the Myanmars. Yaremchuk opened scoring in the 51st minute, before Luchkevych scored the second in the 54th minute. Kovalenko makes it three just 4minutes later, while Sobol made it four in the 68th minute. Three minutes later Biesiedin made it five, and Kovalenko grabbed his and Ukraine’s sixth of the day brace in the 77th minute.
